Development of Integrated Management System and Operation Technology for Seafloor Geophysical Monitoring Network

DEVELOPMENT OF INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND OPERATION TECHNOLOGY FOR SEAFLOOR GEOPHYSICAL MONITORING NETWORK

We endeavored to maintain and develop the seafloor geophysical monitoring network of the KIGAM Earthquake Research Center. The seafloor monitoring network consists of two seafloor geophysical observatories at Socheong Reef and Gageo Reef, and a data communication network and data monitoring system at KIGAM. We carried out maintenance work for the two seafloor geophysical observatories by remote sea-site visit.

We were able to accumulate experience and knowledge and to improve our operational capability from the maintenance work. We developed an integrated management system that can manage data archiving, SOH of the seafloor observatories, and system alerts. The integrated management system was built efficiently by adopting an open-source platform that consists of Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana, and various open-source libraries. Our works and eff orts on maintenance and management will lead to high quality data of the seafloor monitoring network.
