DEVELOPMENT OF CABLE-FREE SEISMIC TECHNOLOGY KIGAM

Cable-free seismic technology refers to an acquisition method which uses receivers without a power cable connection. It is economical and offers advantages in terms of deployment and mobilization. KIGAM has developed several types of technologies related to cable-free seismic equipment, such as sparse acquisition, seismic interpolation, static correction and stratigraphic interpretation methods. KIGAM has also developed a prototype of a cable-free land nodal system and verified it through a performance evaluation. We will apply this nodal technology to explorations of fault zones, long tunnel designs, CO2 storage facilities, and deep seismic projects such as a project focusing on oil and gas resources in Myanmar.
