Groundwater Environment Research Center
The Groundwater Environment Research Center conducts advanced research and develops innovative technologies to ensure the sustainable and safe utilization of groundwater. Our core research areas include groundwater quality and isotope analysis, climate change impacts on groundwater-dependent ecosystems, and the remediation of groundwater contaminated by both natural and anthropogenic sources. By addressing groundwater challenges from national to global scales, we support science-based decision-making for public safety, environmental protection, and sustainable water resource management.

- Assessment of surface water and groundwater interaction and IoT-based real-Time monitoring network development
- Application of environmental tracers to groundwater flow and contamination processes
- Assessment of biogeochemical processes governing contaminant behavior in groundwater, and the development of mitigation and remediation strategies for contaminated groundwater.
