Signing the MOU between KIGAM and GNS New Zealand

"The Korea-New Zealand Business Forum - the next steps" was held in the Northern Club, Auckland, New Zealand on March 3rd, 2009.  President Lee, Myung-Bak, the President of South Korea, had the state visit to New Zealand during the same period and he attended the Business Forum to highlight the significance of the business collaboration between Korea and New Zealand. 
KIGAM and GNS(The Institute of Geological and Nuclear Science Limited, New Zealand) had the MOU signing ceremony in the same place right after the Business Forum. Dr Chang, Ho wan, the president of KIGAM, and Dr. Alex Malahoff, the CEO of  GNS, were participated to sign the MOU. It'll bring opportunities for joint researches between KIGAM and GNS specially in the area of green growth science & technology.

The MOU includes
 * Carbon Capture and Storage
 * Past Climate and Climate Change
 * Hydrocarbon Exploration and Marine Geology
 * Isotope Applications to Earth Sciences
 * Regional Geology and Mineral Resources Assessment
 * Geological Hazard Assessment and Mitigation
 * Groundwater Modelling
