To stimulate the technological cooperation and human resource exchanges, Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (Dr. Kyu Han Kim, the President of KIGAM) successfully signed MOU with Mongolian University of Science and Technology(MUST) on June 13 (Mon).

*Mongolian University of Science and Technology is a national university in Mongolia established in 1969. Currently, there are about 120 of professors, and more than 22,000 of students. It is a leading research institute for the development of metallic ore deposit in Mongolia as well as exceptional educational institute for the future geologist and scientists. 

Through the MOU signed at the campus of MUST, KIGAM has agreed to transfer the mineral processing and extractive metallurgy technologies, Also, improvement of falling behind mineral processing apparatus is part of the agreement between the two institutes. 

Both institutes will strengthen the cooperative relationship for the joint-research on mineral resources in Mongolia. Furthermore, more broaden scope of research field will be explored by the two institutes in the near future.
