The Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (“KIGAM”) signed an MOU with Princeton University, located in New Jersey, America on the 24th (Wed) this month.
By signing the MOU, both institutions plan to intensify work cooperation in the following fields: geology and geological information; exploration and evaluation of mineral resources; oil and gas, and marine energy resources; groundwater; geothermal resources; reduction technique of carbon dioxide and global warming; and joint studies on geologic disasters and environmental sector. In addition, the two institutions intend to enhance the exchange of scientific technology R&Ds and promote the expert exchange.
Director Kim said that this MOU became an opportunity to solidify the research cooperation with a world prestigious university to enable the KIGAM to be reborn hopefully as the world best geological resource research center.
