KIGAM in PyongChang Winter Olympics

Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) opened a PR booth for Environment-Friendly Low-Carbon City for the Future』 in Gangwon Province where the PyongChang Winter Olympic is going to be held. This cutting-edge R&D, Carbon Mineralization Flagship, is going to be exhibited at the 2018 PyongChang Festival Park with the sponsorships from the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and the Gangwon Provincial Office. At the opening of the park, many important high-rank government figures* were appeared.

KIGAM introduced the state-of-the-art technologies Carbon Money System』 and Green Cement from Carbon Mineralization』 at the Future Hall of the 2018 PyongChang Festival Park. The essenced future technologies at the Future Hall are the Korea’s strategic action plans for the Global Climate Changes. MIST suggests that all those future technologies will be utilized to make a prototype city, which is ‘Environment-Friendly Low-Carbon City’ in Gwangwon Province as a future city model in Korea.

KIGAM proudly shows its original signature technology, which is known for In-situ PCC Technology (Precipitated Calcium Carbonate), basically CO₂ reactive technology utilizing complex carbonate mineral and recyclable papers for Carbon Money System and 3D Printing Architecture Technology using Green Cement which is a new form of preparing the 4th revolution for the future.

Dr. Synn Joong-Ho, President of KIGAM, visited the PR booth in PyonChang on the last February 21 for encouraging researchers and staff members.
