KOREA INSTITUTE OF GEOSCIENCE AND MINERAL RESOURCES

Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (Dr. Kyu Han Kim, President) signed a MOU with Mineral Research & Exploration General Directorate (Mr. Yusuf Ziya Cosar, Director General) as of March 27th, 2015. MTA is affiliated to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, and it was established as Geological Survey of Turkey back in 1935.  

MTA covers a variety of research fields, including geological research, exploration for metallic, industrial and energy raw materials, marine research, geophysical research, analysis and technological testing studies, feasibility studies, environmental research, and so on. Also, by visiting MTA today, KIGAM has delivered a congratulatory message for Mr. Yusuf Ziya Cosar′s recent assignment as Director General of MTA. 

Through this MOU, KIGAM and MTA are going to strengthen its partnership for joint research on marine geology, geophysics, mineral, energy resources and etc. 

The MOU signing ceremony was followed by RA signing between the two organizations on geological investigation, geochemical, geophysical exploration, mutual visit of experts and information exchange.
