Voices from Wonju KSRS & Pohang Branch

Dr. Joong-Ho Synn, the President of Korea Institute of Geoscience & Mineral Resources (KIGAM), visited KIGAM’s Korea Seismic Research Station (KSRS) in Wonju on January 15 and the KIGAM Pohang Branch on January 18 for the New Year greetings with the KIGAM researchers and staffs.

At the both meetings, the President Synn intended to listen the emerged difficulties at the on-site work places. The schedules are carried out as the followings. First, the annual R&D work reports were delivered, and then Dr. Synn and other KIGAM executives listened the hardships from the employees.

Dr. Synn promised to endeavor to solve many discussed work palace difficulties for producing greater R&D outcomes. Also, the executives agreed on reducing the laps of the communication gaps due to the distances between the headquarter and the branches.

From the visits, the researchers and the executives expected to improve the R&D environments.
